I've been here for dates, work events, and casual hangouts, and it never disappoints! The cocktails are always excellent (if a little overpriced), and it's a great spot to have a night out. The apartment-style setup works really well for groups, the vibe is excellent, and the servers are great at making recommendations. The food selection isn't amazing, but hey - you're on Elgin so there are plenty of other options for that nearby.
I’ve been to Charlotte a couple of times now, and I’ve always had a pleasant experience. The place has a really nice feel to it, the decor is great and the seats are very comfortable. I like that it’s set up in sections, each one like a living room. The last time I was there my group tried the salt & vinegar kettle chips, the roasted bar nuts, the charred broccoli and the dumplings. For drinks, I tried the Planter’s Punch (pictured) and a Pina Colada, both were very good. They have a wide variety of wines and beers as well. Everything I’ve tried there so far has been delicious. I’d recommend checking it out.
Loved this place! The atmosphere is so cozy. The drinks are chef's kiss and the service was good too. It's definitely a place you go to catch up with a friend and just hang out. You won't go here for the food. Very limited menu but great place non the less.
Charlotte is the gift that keeps on giving. The ambiance is like nothing else I can find in Ottawa. Stefan was on his first night, but made me and my girlfriend feel like we’re the only people That mattered in the bar. Extensive knowledge of the menu, great recommendations, and an outgoing personality. Thanks for making our night special chief.
Such a fun spot on Elgin St. Love the lounge/living room vibe. Ample seating and nice ambient lighting. Very aesthetic. Nice drinks but on the pricier side.
May 2023 Nice funky place. Cool, innovative cocktails, but not my price point. Probably typical prices for fancy cocktails, but too expensive for me. Not worth it, but the younger than me crowd seemed to open their wallets easily. My daughter had the mystery cocktail which she enjoyed. Unfortunately, after tax and tip, it cost 26. Ouch! We were here for a So Far Sounds event. Well organized, fun, and a nice place to have this pop up type of event. We enjoyed our evening out. If you want reasonably priced drinks, I would not recommend this cocktail lounge.
A retro vibe, a step back in time to MCM coolness. Inventive and interesting for-all cocktails and a well executed, locally provisioned food menu make this a must visit spot for pre (or post) dinner drinks or a great spot to hang out with your group.
Amazing, unique lounge. Good mix of cocktails, wines and craft beers. Great for dates or small groups; DJ Fri/Sat nights. Some of the best cocktails in the city
